So the demo is out.  Cale, Mandi, and I spend 11 long hours in the studio and finally cut a CD.  So when ya'll see me, ask for one.  When you get one, burn a copy and give it to everyone you know.  All glory goes to the Lord Jesus Christ for making my dreams possible.  Peace Out

So another year has been swooped up from our hands and we're all scratching our heads and wondering, "Where has the time gone?"  So its only fitting that I celebrate good ole 2005 with Seth's Ten Best Albums of the Last Year.  If you haven't been listening to these, than shame on you.  Pick up the pieces of your tattered soul and begin pirating these albums immediately.

Stand still

Sad scarecrow,

The birds they swoop for a season,

Meant to peck and punish

The straw that lies within us,

Until bones emerge,

Thick and full of vigor.

So I went to Memphis last night and saw Elton John in concert.  I never want to touch a piano again.  That man is a finger tinkling queen!  He played all your favorites and mine and the concert was quite enjoyable except for the fact that during Rocket Man a posse of drunken floosies would shout out "Rocket Girl/!" everytime Elton sung his signature line.  Their breathe smelled like an old man's bottled up farts.  Oh yeah, we got lost in the Memphis ghetto for an about an hour.  We saw a policeman pull out a machine gun from his trunk and threaten to shoot a crackhead if he didn't move along.  We met up with Cale and an enterouge of Alpha Sigs and cruised around Beale Street.  The place reeked of blues and booze.  It was a good time, indeed.

On a more personal note, has God ever given you a glimpse of his unsurpassing plan for your life?  I'm learning to live and love again.  Cue up Journey, cuz he has broken those chains that bind me.  I'm finally content in just simply existing.  Everything comes back to Christ.

So I guess it's time for a new post.  The past few months I've been composing some songs on the piano.  Think of a more poetic Keane mixed in with a little Jamie Cullum.  Anyway, Calevis and I are going to be recording soon and the Cd will include Stracener favorites such as the Gypsy Song and Back Home.  Thought I spread the news and if ya'll have some extra pocket change, pick the CD up when it is finished.
